If you are located in North America, you will have slightly different buttons and terminology:
- Tenancies are referred to as Leases
- Terms & Breaks within a Tenancy is called Terms & Options
For the purpose of this article, we will refer to it as Tenancies, Terms & Breaks. For more information on regional terminology, refer to this article or contact support.
Viewing Tenant's Insurance
When viewing a Tenancy, click on the Insurance tab on the left hand menu. This will take you to the list of policies loaded on that Tenancy. Click Add Insurance to create a new policy record.
Please note: The coloured dot next to the "Insurance" tab heading is a visual indicator that there is an Expiring Soon policy for this Tenancy. This dot will show as red if there are any Expired policies.
Add all relevant Policy details (1), attach any Documents needed (2), and add any Notes necessary (3).
Set up how you want to be reminded about this policy expiry. You can choose as many Re-Leased users as you like to be assigned reminders (4); and either leave as is to be reminded 30 days in advance, or tick the box (5) to set a custom reminder period.
Click Save (5).
The policy will now appear in the list of insurance policies for that Tenancy. To learn about managing or editing the policy after creation, click here.
The Insurance policy expiry date will also create a reminder on the Dashboard for the assigned user. These will appear in a blue tile colour as below:
Clicking on the reminder will bring up more details of the insurance policy, and allows you to
1. Mark the reminder as complete
2. Go directly to the Insurance policy record to edit it
3. Go directly to the Tenancy record
4. Send a reminder email to the Tenant - click here for more details on reminder emails
