Integrating with Sage Intacct
There is a 1:1 connection between each Re-Leased company and the corresponding Sage Intacct company. Once a Re-Leased company has been connected to a Sage Intacct company, it cannot be re-connected to any other Sage Intacct company.
Prior to connecting
To set up your Sage Intacct account, you will need:
- Tax types
- Chart of accounts
- Your company ID and login details
- You must have full admin privileges and user role permissions in Sage Intacct
- Dimensions
Connecting
1. On the Settings page, select the company to sync with Sage Intacct from the drop-down in the top left. Scroll down and select Manage Add-ons and Integrations.
Your Sage Intacct status will show that the integration is not connected.
2. Click on Connect
3. Once on the Sage Intacct integration page, there are explanations on what will be synced between Re-Leased and Sage Intacct. Click on Connect to Sage Intacct
4. You'll then be redirected to Sage Intacct
5. You then need to turn on Web Services to allow the connection to Sage Intacct
6. Next, Web Services need to be configured
7. A Web Services user needs to be created
8. Now you must enter your Sage Intacct login details
9. Select the Sage Intacct entity you want to connect to Re-Leased
You will now be redirected to Re-Leased to prepare for your first sync.
If the Re-Leased company has existing data present, then you will need to reconcile the Tax Types, Chart of Accounts, Tracking Options and Contacts. However, if Sage Intacct is being connected to a blank Re-Leased company, there will be no matching of entities needed.
1. Select your Sync from Date (this can't be prior to 2018)
Only invoices, credit notes or payments that are dated on or after the date entered will be synced with Sage Intacct. If you edit an invoice that is dated prior to the sync date after connection it will not sync with Sage Intacct.
You have to option to exclude transactions syncing between Sage Intacct and Re-Leased.
2. Tax Type Reconciliation
If you have Tax Types in Re-Leased that are not in Sage Intacct, you will need to reconcile them.
You will have two options:
- Archive the tax rate. If the rate is archived, it will not be available for use in Re-Leased for any future invoices.
- Match the tax rate to an existing Sage Intacct rate. If this option is chosen, any invoices using the Re-Leased tax type will sync across and now be present in Sage Intacct and Re-Leased under the newly matched tax rate.
Note: Sage Intacct rate can only be used once.
The status display on the right of the window will show if the tax rates have been matched or archived. Once all tax rates has been reconciled, select ‘Continue’ and the onboarding will continue.
3. Account Reconciliation
If you have Accounts in Re-Leased that are not in Sage Intacct, you will need to reconcile them.
You will have two options:
- Archive the account. If the account is archived, it will not be available for use in Re-Leased for any future invoices.
- Match the account to an existing Sage Intacct account. If this option is chosen, any invoices using the Re-Leased account will sync across and will now be present in Sage Intacct and Re-Leased under the matched account.
Note: A Sage Intacct account can only be used once.
The status display on the right of the window will show if the accounts have been matched or archived. Once all chart of accounts has been reconciled, select ‘Continue’ and the onboarding will continue.
4. Tracking Reconciliation
If you have Tracking Options in Re-Leased that are not in Sage Intacct, you will need to reconcile them.
You will have two options:
- Archive the tracking option. If the tracking option is archived, it will not be available for use in Re-Leased for any future invoices.
- Match the account to an existing Sage Intacct tracking option. If this option is chosen, any invoices using the Re-Leased tracking option will sync across and will now be present in Sage Intacct and Re-Leased under the matched tracking option.
Note: A Sage Intacct tracking option can only be used once.
The status display on the right of the window will show if the tracking options have been matched or archived. Once all tracking options have been reconciled, select ‘Continue’ and the onboarding will continue.
5. Contacts Reconciliation
If you have Contacts in Re-Leased that are not in Sage Intacct, you will need to reconcile them.
You will have two options:
- Create the contact in Re-Leased. If the ‘Create New Contact’ option is selected, the contact will be created in Re-Leased.
- Match the contact to an existing contact in Re-Leased. If this option is chosen, any invoices using the Re-Leased contact will sync across and now be present in Sage Intacct and Re-Leased under the matched contact
Note: Sage Intacct contacts can only be used once.
The status display on the right of the window will show if the contacts have been matched or created. Once all contacts have been reconciled, select ‘Continue’ and the onboarding will continue.
The initial onboarding and reconciliation is now completed. Once ‘Confirm’ is selected, a new page will open, and the first sync will automatically start.
This initial sync may take some time depending on how much data needs to be copied between Re-Leased and Sage Intacct, but you can continue to work while this continues in the background.
Once the sync is complete the spinning circle in the header will be replaced with a blue flag.
