In some scenarios, you may wish to allocate a payment to the entire tax portion of an invoice before the net portion.
To enable this, go to Settings > Trust accounts > Edit trust account > Tick the "Allow payments to be allocated separately to net and tax" checkbox.
After choosing the invoice(s) to be paid, select the edit icon to view the invoice details and specify how much should be paid to each line. When first viewing the line item details, the payment will be automatically allocated across the lines.
- Select the "Clear all amounts" button to set the editable fields to zero.
- Select the + button to allocate the available funds to a line, or the - button to remove the payment from the line.
- The save button will be enabled when the payment has been fully allocated and $0.00 is remaining. After saving you can proceed to the payment details step.
