We'd suggest raising the next Expense Invoice with the following lines:
1. Negative wrong GST line
2. Correct GST line
3. Next bill amount will then take into account a credit they may have given on the next Expense Invoice.
If the Creditor has returned the funds, use the Expense Credit Note Refund option. This Expense Credit Note should match the Expense Invoice in the system after you've made the update to the original. During the Allocation process of the Expense Credit Note, there is an option to Refund.
Then process an EFT payment for the amount. If the Refund option doesn't appear, then go back into the Expense Credit Note > use the 3 line menu > Allocate Credit Note > Refund.
Then process an EFT payment for the amount. This will then allow you to receipt your returned funds against the Expense Credit Note to return the expense funds to the Owner's Ledger.
